Over 50 members and non-members enjoyed a tremendous evening of networking and education. The spirited conversations were accompanied by Sangria, followed by a Spanish wine tasting led by certificate holder of the Court of Master Sommeliers David Pennachetti. The evening was rounded out with a delicious array of tapas provided by Le Cordon Bleu Paris trained Chef Sharon Van Meter.

The central Dallas location was an excellent venue allowing guests ample time to mix and mingle and discuss the current challenges our industry faces. Following a warm welcome from Site Texas Chapter President Sandy Bench (San Antonio CVB), attendees were ushered into the purpose built theater for a thirty minute wine tasting and overview of Spanish wines.

The event sponsored by the Spanish National Tourism Office, Krisam/GEP, Sol Melia Hotels & Resorts and American Airlines, culminated in two fabulous prize drawings. The first of which won by Bill Boyd CMP, CMM, CITE Sunbelt Motivation, which included two round trip tickets with American Airlines on their new DFW to Madrid route, plus 9 nights accommodation at various Sol Melia properties from Madrid to Marbella. This wonderful prize was further enhanced by city tours and transfers provided by Creatur a leading Spanish DMC represented in the US by Krisam/GEP. The second prize included 6 nights accommodation with Sol Melia Hotels in the wonderful Canary Islands and the lucky winner was Claudia Greenlee of Access Travel.
