Network Mixer "Building Relationships" February 10, 2010

Maggiano's Litte Italy played host to the first Site Texas Chapter event of 2010, and as luck would have it, 24-hours before the snow storm that brought much of the Metroplex to a standstill.

In this quaint yet lively Italian setting, some 30 members and prospective members were able to relax and reconnect with industry colleagues and acquaintances, as well as establish some new business relationships and glean new ideas to utilize in their daily work environments. The audience comprised corporate buyers, incentive travel houses, meeting planners, DMC's, hoteliers, CVB's and many more. The establishment of these network mixers, held every two to three months, allows participants to catch up, re-engage and keep up-to-date with our ever evolving industry.

Julie Martinez CMP, CMM, Chapter President introduced the new 2010 Site Texas Board of Directors, as well as a series of "Save the Dates" for events planned in March, May and June, details of which may be found at www.sitetexas.org/events1/upcoming-events/. Ms. Martinez also encouraged the audience to participate in the chapter's activities and to e-mail her at julie.martinez@lennoxintl.com should they wish to join a Chapter committee.

The Chapter is also excited about the upcoming "Hidden Treasures" afternoon educational and early evening network mixer, planned for March in the magnificent Dallas Arts District, home to the works of four Pritzker prize winning architects. This in addition to the May educational retreat to the Westin La Cantera Resort, San Antonio, where we will be joined by the Site International President, Sean Mahoney.
