Site Texas Holiday Party
The Hilton Anatole played host to this year’s Site Texas Holiday Party. With over 45 attendees, the evening started in the wonderful 'Bar at Nana' on the 27th floor of the Tower, boasting magnificent views of the Dallas skyline. As guests arrived, many with a child’s toy for our Bryan House toy drive, it became apparent that the attendees were most generous in support of the chapter’s seasonal charity.
The group then moved on to a private room within the newly opened 'Media Bar' in the main lobby; decked out with flat screen TV’s, under-lit bar tops, and comfortable couches, guests were able to enjoy a wonderful buffet, make bids in the silent auction as well as try their luck in the raffle.
Following the raffle, Julie Martinez CMP CMM thanked everyone for attending and for the support she had received in her year as President. Julie also announced that just the day before, the Chapter had won a Chapter Excellence Award for “Special Event” (Deep in the Heart – Spring Retreat, San Antonio May 2010) at the Site International Conference in South Africa. This followed on from the successful “Wild Card” Award received in 2009. Julie then introduced Jonathan Richards CMP as the incoming Chapter President, who in turn introduced the newly appointed 2011 Board of Directors.
The evening was rounded off with the group moving to the beautifully renovated Atrium, with it's stunning water feature and lighting for champagne, strawberries and desserts. There, guests had a final opportunity to bid on their favorite silent auction items before the clock stuck the 'witching hour'. It was the perfect end to a most delightful evening, for which the Chapter says a big thank you to the Hilton Anatole and all of it's staff for making the evening such a huge success.
