Spring Summit - May 15 - 16, 2011 Venue: Hilton Bella Harbor, Rockwall/Dallas TX
PRESS RELEASE AND PHOTOGRAPHS
We are pleased to report our recent Site Texas Summit a success thanks to our host, the Hilton Bella Harbor on Lake Ray Hubbard (just east of Dallas) and our generous sponsors. Wow! What a beautiful event kicked off by a stellar opening keynote by Doyle Girouard, CEO The Cypress Group—Back to Future… Profits! Key take-away regarding business meetings: $1 invested in biz travel provides $12.50 in revenue and $3.80 in profits. Also, long-awaited industry info provided by the Convention Industry Council for those looking for great research and support as meetings swing back full-force—Meetings Mean Business!
Check out our photo gallery for a glimpse into the perfect lakefront venue for your group and ours the first night—food, service, and ambiance were all stellar. Kudos to the staff and this fine nautical-themed Hilton just east of Dallas. Very nice!
Monday was full speed ahead with a working breakfast with Site Texas’ partner and Corporate Social Responsibility agency-- North Texas Food Bank and their corporate involvement Serving U program.
Join us in September as we take you into the Food Bank to show you how you can make a difference providing for the 1 in 4 kids in the area living in poverty while meeting with other Site Texas friends—or, consider a Feeding America local agency for your next CSR event!
Site Texas’ Summit also featured great educational breakouts including “Las Vegas Revealed” (Maverick Aviation, BASE Entertainment, AGR & Richard Petty Driving Experience), “SEA the Difference! Meetings & Incentives at Sea” (Windstar, Silversea, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines) and “Mexico! Opportunities South of the Border” (Marriott Offshore & Caribbean Resorts, Palace Resorts and Tropical Incentives) as well as great presentations by Jeff Rasco on “Mobile Applications in the MICE Market”, and closing keynoter by Kevin Mellot on “Safety/Security Hazards and their threats to special events”. (Click here for Jeff and Kevin’s presentations.)
Thanks to all who helped in preparing, delivering, and participating in our Site Texas Summit 2011. We look forward to you joining us for our summer social at the Quarry Golf Club in San Antonio, July 13; simply check out our upcoming 2011 events.
