Scholarship Overview

The SITE Texas Past President’s Award honors one outstanding buyer member who has demonstrated exceptional service, commitment, and leadership within the SITE Texas Chapter. This award celebrates those who go above and beyond in contributing to the growth, engagement, and success of the chapter—whether as a board member, committee leader, or active participant.​

Purpose

To recognize and celebrate a SITE Texas buyer member whose contributions exemplify the chapter’s core values of collaboration, innovation, education, and community impact. This award reflects the continued legacy of leadership that has defined SITE Texas for more than two decades.

Eligibility

Nominees must:

• Be an active SITE Texas member in good standing

• Hold a buyer role (e.g., meeting planner, incentive manager, or end-client professional)

• Have demonstrated measurable contributions to the SITE Texas Chapter within the past year—through board or committee service, mentorship, volunteerism, event participation, or chapter ambassadorship

• Exhibit integrity, professionalism, and a spirit of collaboration that elevates others

Nomination Process

Nominations may be submitted by any current SITE Texas member.

The nomination form should include:

• A brief overview of the nominee’s contributions to the chapter

• Examples of leadership, service, or innovation

• Optional letters of support from other chapter members or industry peers

​

The selection committee (comprised of an awards nomination committee of SITE Board Members outside of the SITE Texas Chapter) will review nominations and determine the recipient.

Award Details

• Award Value: Up to $2,500 USD to be used towards costs associated with attending the SITE Global Conference.

• Recognition:

  • Public recognition during a SITE Texas event or board meeting

  • A feature spotlight in the SITE Texas newsletter and social media channels
